I slept like a LOG. A dead log. Charlie & Deb's place is SO nice and so are they!
They took me down to the National Mall, with a little driving tour along the way. Walked through the sculpture garden and hit the National Museum of American History.
DC is a beautiful city! I wasn't expecting so much grass! Saw the Iwo Jima monument and Mount Vernon. And DC is clean. It's quite lovely.
We didn't try to do too much, we had their 14-month-old with us, and my knee started bugging me (ice & vicodin while watching the tube now). But Deb will drop me off at the Metro in the morning and I'm spending the day touring around on my own. I want to hit the Air & Space Museum. Tomorrow night I'll be staying at Tom & Rita's since I have an early flight and they are closer to Dulles.
